Obituary for Donald Gene Keesee

Dr. Donald G. Keesee, age 68, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 1, 2018. He was born June 2, 1949 at Stillwater, Oklahoma to John and Lila Keesee. He grew up in Oklahoma, graduated from high school at Morrison, OK and attended college at Oklahoma State University. His Master of Divinity degree was from Central Baptist Theological Seminary, Enid, OK.
Don Keesee was ordained and endorsed in the American Baptist Church and served as a Missionary in Hong Kong, China. He transferred to the Oklahoma United Methodist Church where he was ordained as Elder and served as Pastor at the Hulen, Bethel and Wheatland United Methodist Churches. He then led the All Nations Fellowship and the Word Church in Oklahoma City. He worked as a Hospice Chaplain and taught “English as a Second Language” at two different language schools.
Don was preceded in death by his father, John Keesee, his mother, Lila Farmer, step-father Lonnie Farmer and brother Kenny Keesee.
He is survived by his wife, Julia and daughter Johannah of the home, his step-daughter Dr. Jessica Chen and her fiance’ Dr. Justin Grana of Washington, DC and son, William Keesee of Dallas, TX. His step-sister Lonna and husband Randy Shiever of Morrison, OK and step-brother, Tom Farmer and wife Diane, of Perkins, OK.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, January 4, 2018 in The Chapel of The Good Shepherd at McNeil’s Funeral Service, Mustang, OK with interment following in the Red Hill Cemetery, Mustang.
