Obituary for Virginia Hazel Lee

Virginia Hazel (Wood) Lee, 89, died Thursday, October 18, 2018. She was born August 30, 1929 in Cullman, AL to Roy and Verdie(McAfee) Wood. She grew up in Alabama and later lived in Wyandotte, Michigan, where she worked at A&P grocery. She and her husband of 71 years Wendle Lee attended Clark Street Church of God. She enjoyed gardening and canning vegetables as well as quilting with the church ladies. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister; Barbara Powers, brother Paul Wood and son-in-law Bill Hoyt. Virginia is survived by her husband Wendle, daughter; Brenda Hoyt, granddaughter; Summer Norton and husband Billy, six great-grandchildren; Kade, Rhett, Anna, Payton, Paige and Preston. Also, by brother Roy Wood Jr. and wife Gail and sister; Bobbie McMinn. Funeral Services will be 10:00am Monday, October 22, 2018 in the chapel at The Bridge Assembly of God, Mustang, OK with interment to follow in the Ft. Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, Oklahoma.
