Obituary for Margaret Cathryn Ostrander

Margaret Cathryn Ostrander, age 68, died Saturday, December 29, 2018 after a long illness. She was born April 16, 1950 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Bernie Lee and Geraldine V. (Burkey) Martin. She grew up in OKC where she was a 1968 graduate of John Marshall High School and later attended Central State University. She worked many years at C. L. Boyd Co. and later worked in management for Braums. She loved to read, enjoyed country music and dancing. She was an avid OU Fan and loved to watch Nascar, but most of all she loved being with family and friends, especially her grandkids and great grandkids. She is survived by her mother Geraldine Gipson of Mustang, her father Bernie Lee Martin of Guthrie, two daughters Shannon Aleman and husband Jaime of Mustang and Tiffany Sweeden of Lawton and one son Glenn Carpenter and wife Rebecca of Denton, TX. Nine grandchildren including Kelsey, Haleigh, Austin, Lindsey, John, Trace, Cole, Analiese and Avery. Two great grandchildren Raeleigh and Hudsen. Also by two brothers Herschel Martin and wife Linda of Guthrie and Blaine Martin and wife Ellen of Lebonan, MO. Memorial Services will be held 10am on Friday January 4, 2019 in the Chapel of The Good Shepherd at McNeil’s Funeral Service, Mustang, Oklahoma.
