Obituary for James William Reddick

James William Reddick, age 95, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 14, 2019 after a period of declining health. He was born October 28, 1923 in Weleetka, Oklahoma to Rev. James and Emma Lucy(Bryce) Reddick. He grew up in the Okfuskee County area, attending school at Graham and graduating from Eufaula High School. He attended college in Chicago. Jim proudly served in the US Navy during WWll where he piloted LCTs, LSTs and heavy tugboats. After military service he returned to Oklahoma City in 1947 where he worked over 37 years at Tinker AFB as a Propulsion Technician. After moving to Mustang, he worked several years for the Mustang Public School System. He was an active member of The Bridge (Mustang Assembly of God) Church where he served many years on the Church Deacon Board. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife Vermell, grandson James, great granddaughter Evie and three sisters Lucy, Louise and Mary. Survivors include two sons David Reddick and wife Peggy, Tim Reddick and wife Debbie and two daughters Rebecca Bryan and Gloria Strother. Also by eight grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Services will be held at 10am on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at The Bridge AG Church, Mustang, Oklahoma with interment following at 3pm in the Likowski Cemetery, Pharoah, Oklahoma. Arrangements are by McNeil’s Funeral Service, Mustang, Oklahoma.
