Obituary for Carol Nelsyne Miressi

Carol Nelsyne (Thompson) Miressi, age 75, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2019 at her home in Mustang, OK. She was born July 14, 1944 in Buffalo Center, IA to Richard and Ester (Stenersen) Thompson. She married the love of her life, Michael J. Miressi in 1975 and they traveled the world together. Carol was very patriotic and very staunch in her political beliefs and loved her country. She volunteered for the Oklahoma City Public Library for 32 years, crocheted blankets, caps and socks for the homeless and supported “Wounded Warriors” and many other Veteran's organizations. Her hobbies included reading, sewing and slot machines. She was preceded in death by her husband Michael, daughter; Tammy Brown and brother; Larry Thompson. Carol is survived by her daughter; Kris Bayless and husband Kurt W., son-in-law Mike Brown, six grandchildren; Taylor, Paige, Jennifer, Lindsey, Connor and Tyler and three great-grandchildren; Brett, Paisley and Remingtyn. Also, by her best friend; Enda Burroughs, one brother; Ron Thompson and two sisters; Joan Moss and Evie Anderson. The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life at McNeil's Funeral Service in Mustang at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 9th.
