Obituary for Steven "Steve" Jon Baker

Steven Jon “Steve” Baker, age 66, died Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Mercy Hospital after a short battle with Cancer. He was born June 28, 1951 in Des Moines, Iowa to Wesley and Bonnie (Hickey) Baker and grew up in Dayton, Ohio where he was a graduate of Meadowville, High School. He attended Edison College and served proudly in the US Air Force. Steve had been an Oklahoma resident since 1977, living in Yukon and Mustang. A true “entrepreneur” Steve was successful in auto sales and service and golf course operations as owner of Pebble Creek Golf Course in Mustang. He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife Carla of the home, his faithful golf course companion Ellie, two son Will Atchley and wife Tasha of Fairview, OK, Brandon Baker and wife Audrey of Mustang, two daughters Brandi Baker of Eagle River, Alaska and Chelsie Troxell and husband Trevor of Mustang. Also by thirteen grandchildren, one Brother Charles and wife Deborah of Port Charlotte, FL and one sister Barbara Vandergraff and husband Brian of Arcadia, FL. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to St. Judes. Services will be held at 10am on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at The Bridge Assembly of God Church, Mustang, OK with interment following in the Redhill Cemetery, Mustang, OK under the direction of McNeil’s Funeral Service, Mustang, Oklahoma
