Obituary for Richard Keith Rose

Richard Keith Rose, 85, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, April 4, 2017 with his wife and family by his bedside. He was born and raised in Ottumwa, Iowa. After graduating from Ottumwa High School he attended college at nearby Kirksville, Missouri. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1971 in the accounting and finance branch. After retiring from the Air Force, he worked for Brad Ragan, Incorporated headquartered in Spruce Pine, North Carolina and later for Wilson Tire Company in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Retired for the past thirty years, he was an active member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church. His parents, Keith and Nellie Rose, and a brother, Robert preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn, four children; daughter Cynthia Garland of Bakersville, NC; sons Mark of Newport News, VA; Timothy and Clark of Mustang, OK; nine grandchildren; Jennifer Miller, Brian, Shawn and Will Rose, Staci Holcomb, Josh, Steve, Dan and Krystal Rose and nine great-grandchildren; Kylie and Jackson Miller, Logan and Henry Rose, Hadley Rose, Livia Holcomb, Jayden and Landon Rose and Braylinn Youngblood. Funeral Services will be 10:00am Friday April 14, 2017 at McNeil’s Funeral Service, Mustang, OK with interment to follow at 1:00pm in Fort Sill National Cemetery, in Elgin, OK.
