Obituary for Kenneth Leon Reisman

Kenneth Leon Reisman 57, of Covington GA, passed away May 31, 2017. Born July 19th, 1959 in Oklahoma City, Ok to parents Herman L. and Helen Reisman. He attended Oklahoma City Schools and graduated from Capital Hill High School in 1977. While in high school he was on the wrestling team and earned his black belt in Karate. After graduating he began working in construction and quickly became a Master Carpenter and started his own construction business. He was talented and built countless beautiful homes and business establishments in both Oklahoma and Georgia over the past forty years. Kenny was a Construction Mentor to many over the years. He was employed with Paces Contracting Services of Stockbridge, Ga for the last 5 years.

Kenny enjoyed cooking and preparing some of his childhood favorites following his Grandma's recipe's. He was quarter blood Chickasaw Indian, German and Irish. His Grandmother Maytubby gave him the nickname of "Little Irishman" because he was so fair skinned. He enjoyed spending time with family, friends and of course his closest companions; Daisy, Dallas and Fallon, his 3 dogs that he loved and cherished dearly. Kenny will be remembered for his unique character and personality, his kind heart and desire to lend a helping hand to those in need, as well as his strong political views and opinions that he often shared openly. He was known as Kenneth from Covington and his voice was heard regularly on a syndicated political radio talk channel. Kenny has found everlasting peace and will be sorely missed by all, but is now using his talented carpentry skills to build his permanent residence in Heaven.

Kenny is preceded in death by his grandparents and step mother Maria Marianos Reisman. He is survived by his parents, father Herman L. Reisman of Mustang, OK, mother Helen Bell and step father Larry of Hement, CA, brother Stan Reisman of Houston, TX, brother Dan Reisman of Lawton, OK, sister Jennifer Welcher and husband Dave of Oklahoma City, sister Rebekah Cassity and husband David of Clarksville, TN, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends in Oklahoma and Georgia.

The family would like to extend heartfelt appreciation to the owner's, staff and workers of Paces Contracting Services and best friend Dwain. Their assistance, compassion and care during this devastating time for our family has been great. Most especially, their cooperative efforts to ensure Daisy, Dallas and Fallon are cared for until they can be adopted into a new forever home are valued and provide enormous comfort. Your contributions and efforts are appreciated more than words can express. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to your local pet rescue organization.
