Obituary for Janet Darlene Sowle

Janet Darlene (Smith) Sowle, age 83 died June 17, 2018. She was born March 19, 1935 in Grass Creek, IN to Walter and Devotta (Boose) Smith. She grew up in Indiana, she was an aluminum welder. She married Charles Sowle on May 10, 1958. They spent the next 27 years in the military and settled in the Mustang, OK area in 1973. Janet worked for many years as a warehouse manager for NAPA auto parts. She was a longtime member and very active in her church, The Bridge Assembly of God in Mustang, OK. Janet and Charlie loved to travel and visit family in Enid, OK, Indiana and Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Nelson. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Charlie, son Davin and wife Sharon, daughters; Gail Bencivenga and husband Danny and Rosie Stubbs, five grandchildren; Danielle and husband David Pickard, Brandon Sowle and wife Deanna, Valerie, Mallory and Samantha Lewis and husband Doug. Also, by four great grandchildren; Koen, Ryker, Madison and Harper and two brothers; David Smith and wife Carolyn and Bill Smith and wife Sharon, two sisters; Alda Milner and husband Vern and Caroline McClung and husband Darrell. Funeral Services will be 10:00am Thursday, June 21, 2018 at The Bridge Assembly of God with interment to follow at Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma.
