Obituary for Geoffrey Louis Stutz

Geoffrey Louis Stutz, 26, of Piedmont, passed away, Friday, May 5, 2017. He was born in Saratoga Springs, New York to Karen Belch of Boyne City, Michigan and the late Eric Stutz. He is survived by his sisters, Victoria Fullbright of Battle Creek, MI and Jacqueline Belch of Boyne City, MI. His maternal grandparents, Henry and Kathleen Moak of Schuylerville, New York, and his paternal grandmother, Helga Stutz-Miller of Kattskill, NY. Geoffrey was especially close to his maternal uncle, Delbert of Eagle Bridge, New York, and his cousin
Henry J. Geoffrey moved to Oklahoma in his early childhood. He graduated from Piedmont High School in 2008, and from Oklahoma State University in 2010 with a major in Power Transmission & Distribution Technology. He had many close friends in the Piedmont community, whom considered him “family”. Geoffrey was a former member of the Piedmont Fire Department, and would be there at the drop of a dime to help a friend in need. Geoffrey found his calling, and it was the sound of a roaring diesel motor. He took pride in his job at High Pressure Transport where he worked on the diesels he loved so much. He was known as “Geoff” by his friends, and he loved those Dodge diesel motors. Geoffrey had a passion for Harley Davidson Motorcycles and enjoyed sharing that passion with his Piedmont family; if it had a motor, Geoffrey loved it! He enjoyed helping people, keeping things simple, his chocolate lab; Diesel, harleys, tractor-pulls. fishing and riding at Sturgis. A Memorial Service will be held at First Methodist Church in Piedmont on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at 2 pm under the direction of Groves~McNeil Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be to the Piedmont Fire Department, P.O. Box 240, Piedmont, OK 73078.
