Obituary for Debra Dawn Akers

Debra Dawn Akers, of Mustang, OK, passed away Friday March 24, 2017. She was a loving, caring and compassionate person and was always looking for ways to help someone in need. She loved arts and crafts and got great joy from making things for others. Her favorite hobby was spending time and playing with her two sweet grandchildren. Debra was born December 3, 1964 in Oklahoma City, OK. She was the middle child of Gerald and Samantha Akers. She graduated from Mustang High School and attended the Canadian Valley Vo Tech. She was an active member of the West Metro Church of Christ and was an employee at Walmart in Oklahoma City. Debra is survived by her son, Zachary Stout, and grandchildren, Danica and Landon Stout of Rockwall, TX. Also survived by her mother Samantha Akers of Mustang, OK, her brother Jack Akers and wife, Kathy of Purcell, OK, her sister Dawnetta Akers of Mustang, OK, niece Chelsea Box and husband Billy Bob of Mustang, nephews Chase and Elijah Roach of Canyon, TX, niece Bayleigh Akers of Purcell, OK and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. Viewing for Debra will be Wednesday March 29 at McNeil’s Funeral Service, 525 W. Hwy. 152, Mustang, OK from 1:00pm-5:00pm. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am Thursday, March 30 at West Metro Church of Christ. 4900 S. Cemetery Road, Yukon, OK.
