Obituary for Bradley Jay Booth

Bradley Jay Booth, 77, of Yukon, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, October 1, 2017.

The son of Roy and Alice Booth, Brad was born in Wichita, Kansas on August 27, 1940. He graduated from Wichita North High School and attended both Wheaton College and Wichita State University. On his first date with Deborah Adamson - who only wanted to ride in his prized yellow '69 Mustang Boss 302 - he told her, "You don't know this yet, but you're gonna marry me." Though she thought him crazy at first, Brad was right and they married on October 15, 1970. Brad and Debby lived in Wichita for a few years before moving first to Topeka, Kansas, and then finally settling in Yukon, Oklahoma in 1977. Brad worked for many years as a controller for Fleming Foods in Oklahoma City, until his retirement in 2001.

Brad enjoyed fishing, fast cars, and jeeping in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado. He was a huge fan of Kansas City Royals baseball, often taking the whole family on frequent summertime trips to the ballpark, and even sharing a beer with the legendary Frank White on the tailgate of his truck after a game. Brad was a longtime OU fan, a lover of all things Sooner, who always made sure to hang his OU flag outside the house on game day.

Brad is survived by Debby, his wife of 47 years, his two children; Ryan Booth and his wife Amy, of Mustang, OK and Amanda Booth, of Stillwater, OK; as well as his brother Stuart, of Swink, CO, and sisters Tina Baldwin and Ginny Mitchell of Wichita, KS. He also leaves behind three beloved grandchildren; Ali, Molly, and Brett. He is preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Dennison.

A memorial service will be held Friday, October 6th at 3:00pm in The Chapel of The Good Shepherd at McNeil’s Funeral Service, Mustang, OK.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those wishing to honors Brad's memory make a donation in his name to the Pets & People Humane Society in Yukon or Citizens Caring for Children in Oklahoma City.
